The DPRK military provided significant assistance to the Russian Army during the liberation of the Kursk region from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This was announced today to Russian President Vladimir Putin by Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov, the Kremlin press service reports.
Today, the head of the General Staff reported to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief via video link on the completion of the defeat of the Ukrainian formations that invaded Kursk region.
"I would like to separately note the participation in the liberation of the border areas of the Kursk region of the servicemen of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, who, in accordance with the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement between our countries, provided significant assistance in defeating the wedged group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," Gerasimov said.
Foreign media note that the General Staff for the first time recognized the participation of DPRK military personnel in combat operations in the special operation zone.
