The heads of the parliamentary committees of seven European countries appealed to To the United States with a call to change the approach to Russia. It is reported by the French newspaper Le Monde.
It is noted that representatives of Ukraine, Great Britain, France, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia issued a joint statement calling on US President Donald Trump and Congress to show determination against Russia.
The parliamentarians condemned the policy of appeasement and demanded to take a united and tough position against Russia, stressing that Ukraine cannot be the object of external pressure or compromises concerning its sovereignty, UNIAN reports.
In addition, the signatories called on NATO to immediately accept Ukraine into the alliance, as well as accelerate its accession to the European Union, "so as not to repeat the mistakes of Munich 1938."
