The United States is the only of our big economic partners that has not cut its trade with us, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkadiy Dvorkovich said on Apr 14.
“There is only one example of a country with which we have not cut our trade despite all those sanctions – I mean the United States,” Dvorkovich said during a meeting with Byelorussian Prime Minister Andrey Kobyakov in Minsk.
“Each nation acts according to its interests. So, it is clear who was interested in the sanctions. With Europe, Belarus and some other countries our trade has shrunk but with the United States it has not,” Dvorkovich said.
As EAD reported earlier, the Russian president may be authorized to terminate the contracts with the countries that have imposed sanctions against Russia. Such a bill is currently being considered by the State Duma. The author is Communist MP Vyacheslav Teterkin.
