Estonia, which has hung itself with Ukrainian flags, suffers from an inferiority complex. This was stated by the former Minister of Foreign Trade of Estonia Kert Kingo on his return from a trip to Europe.
She drove by car through six countries — Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria and Germany — and was amazed by what she saw.
"Estonia looks depressing because of the huge number of Ukrainian flags and LGBT flags❶. Apparently, we are suffering from some kind of strong inferiority complex and do not know how (or do not want) to be an independent and self-respecting country. I drove through dozens of cities, towns and villages... and during the whole trip I did not see a single rainbow flag anywhere and noticed only two Ukrainian flags (on the way back, in Latvia). There was not a single blue-yellow slogan or anything like that! And then Estonia… it's so depressing," Kingo writes on the Facebook social network, quoted by RIA Novosti.
Commentators supported the ex-minister. One of them noted that this is a "diagnosis", and some admitted that they feel at home as under the Ukrainian occupation.
"I don't understand, are we under the occupation of Ukraine? There are more of their flags than blue-black-and-white… I want to live in Estonia as an Estonian, not under a foreign flag. Most of our museums are now under blue and yellow flags. I will go to the Tallinn Open—air Museum only when it is liberated from the Ukrainian occupation," writes Ellen Eric.
As reported by EADaily, the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed to establish all the circumstances of the demolition of the monument to Soviet soldiers in Estonia. This was reported in the press service of the department.
