Talks of the Contact Group on Ukraine have failed because of no-show of the Ukrainian representative, says Vladislav Deynego, representative of the Lugansk People’s Republic at the negotiations over the crisis in eastern Ukraine.
“Unfortunately, we have failed to see the Ukrainian party, it is again dodging the dialog,” he said.
“Leadership of the republic is ready to come here as soon as the text of the treaty is agreed. Ukraine is failing to agree on the text,” added Deynego.
In his turn, Denis Pushilin, representative of the Donetsk People’s Republic, announced that because of activities of military forces of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics the contact line changed dramatically.
“We are ready to discuss immediate ceasefire at the real contact line, thus, we are ready to discuss withdrawal of heavy equipment. We shall base on the real line only,” he said.
Earlier, Kiev insisted on talks in Minsk with participation of DNR and LPR leaders instead of representatives.
