In the Leningrad region, a 15-year-old schoolgirl was seriously injured in a Koltushy factory. The girl's brush was pulled into the rollers of the machine and chopped into pieces. The press service of the Pediatric University said that the patient was admitted to the operating table literally in parts. The stump of the right hand was skinless, the muscles on the arm were crushed. The parts of the hand delivered separately had bone and soft tissue damage.
Doctors worked on preserving the girl's hand for more than three hours. It was not possible to fully preserve all the elements of the brush, but the doctors restored the limb to the maximum. Whether she will be able to work for her as before is unknown. The girl has a long-term follow-up and rehabilitation ahead of her.
