The case of a large catfish caught in one of the lakes of Warsaw led not only to the arrest of a 57-year-old citizen of Ukraine, but also to his deportation. This was reported by the Polish media.
It is reported that after the messages in Media about illegal fishing in one of the reservoirs of Warsaw, employees of the 7th district police department took action. Investigators quickly identified the person directly involved in the fishing incident. After that, a 57-year-old citizen of Ukraine was detained. The detained man was charged with illegal catfish fishing.
Later, the police sent a request for deportation from the country to the border division of Nadvislansky. The border guards reviewed the submitted materials. Having established that the man's behavior poses a threat to public order, it was decided to return the Ukrainian. After completing all the necessary procedures, the citizen of Ukraine was escorted by border guards to the state border, where he was handed over to the Ukrainian side. He was also banned from entering the Poland and the Schengen area.
The incident occurred on Lake Balaton in Gotslav, one of the most famous reservoirs in the Prague-Poludne district. The incident attracted attention after photos and videos appeared on social networks showing a large catfish caught in the lake, which was considered a local landmark. The video quickly provoked a negative reaction from local residents and authorities.
