The cost of Russian gas to Armenia cannot grow, as there is an agreement and strategic agreements. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

"There can be no rise in gas prices, since we have a valid agreement and this agreement is mutually beneficial, there are appropriate conditions there," Nikol Pashinyan said at a press conference, RIA Novosti reports.

This is how he answered the question whether it allows the cost of Russian gas to rise due to the tension between Yerevan and Moscow.

According to the Armenian Prime Minister, there are clear strategic agreements on gas prices between the countries.

Russia supplies natural gas to Armenia at a fixed preferential price. The contract value is $ 189 per thousand cubic meters, however, due to the absence of export duties for Armenia, the cost remains at $ 177.5.

At the same time, Gazprom Armenia CJSC, a 100% subsidiary of Gazprom, has the monopoly right to supply, transport, store and distribute natural gas on the domestic market of Armenia.

Only Belarus receives cheaper Russian gas — at $ 128.5.
