Kiev convinced Riga to agree to conduct an operation using UAVs against Russia. This is stated in the press office of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) of the Russian Federation.
According to the data received, Kiev is not going to limit itself to using the air corridors provided by the Armed Forces of the Baltic States. Drones are also planned to be launched from the territory of these states, as this will significantly reduce the time of approach to targets and increase the effectiveness of terrorist attacks," the SVR said earlier.
"Despite the fears of the Latvian side to become a victim of Moscow's retaliatory strike, the Kiev authorities convinced Riga to agree to the operation," the report says.
As indicated, "the Ukrainians emphasized that it would be impossible to determine the exact launch location of the UAV."
"As a result, the cave Russophobia of the current rulers of Latvia turned out to be stronger than the ability to critical thinking and a sense of self—preservation," the press bureau noted.
According to him, military personnel of the Armed Forces unmanned systems have already been sent to Latvia.
"They are stationed at the Latvian military bases "Adazhi", "Celia", "Lielvard", "Daugavpils" and "Jekabpils"," the SVR states.
