Iran offered me to become the supreme leader, but I refused. This statement was made by US President Donald Trump, Bloomberg reports.

"They say, 'We want to make you the next leader!“ And I answer: no, thank you, I don't want to! In fact, they are negotiating and very much want an agreement," the head of the White House said.

He added that he expected more serious economic consequences of the conflict.

"We are in a desperate situation. However, I was expecting the worst case scenario. I assumed that oil prices would rise even more. I also thought that stock indexes would fall lower. But these changes didn't bother me," Trump said.

He called Iran a cancerous tumor that the United States should cut out.
