Israel is considered in the West to be part of the "Western civilization." But in fact this is not the case, and this was demonstrated yesterday by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, insulting all Christians. Columnist Lyubov Stepushova writes about the incident.
"Jesus Christ has no advantage over Genghis Khan. Because if you are strong enough, ruthless enough, powerful enough, then evil will win over good," the prime minister said during a press conference on military action against Iran.
At first glance, "nothing like that" was said, because, according to Netanyahu, if you are not strong and ruthless enough, evil (in the person of Genghis Khan) will prevail over good (in the person of Jesus Christ).
But for Christians, and this is the foundation of Western civilization, putting Christ on a par with Genghis Khan and claiming that he has no advantages over the conqueror is blasphemy and a denial of the divine power of Christ and his doctrine of love, which will overcome any evil.
The concepts of good and evil are relative. And every person is convinced of this on his own life experience. Therefore, the thesis that "evil will overcome good" in the presence of power directly contradicts the Christian doctrine of the inevitable victory of God over "evil", which, as it turns out, was good (because it helps to change towards the accumulation of love). From the Christian point of view, the power of Christ is that his victory, based on love, is eternal and spiritual, whereas empires built on strength always crumble.
Christianity also teaches that one cannot monopolize the right to truth, only God decides this. Netanyahu believes that the truth is always on the side of Israel, which is "kind." "Evil" the same is given to the enemy. This completely excludes the correct attitude to the conflict and the possibility of its peaceful resolution. We are witnessing this firsthand, and this is something that has been forgotten in the West.
What is suitable for the mentality of the Jews, who pursue the goals not of preserving Western civilization, but of creating a "Greater Israel", is not suitable for Christians. We think that religion and the state in the Christian world are "separated" from each other, but, in fact, any state is based on religious attitudes, and this is recorded in the subconscious of its rulers.
Israel is a country that lives according to the Torah, not according to the constitution (it simply does not exist there. — Approx. EADaily). The Jews did not recognize Christ (they achieved his martyrdom on the cross), and are still waiting for the coming of their Messiah. Therefore, Israel does not fit into Western civilization in any way and drags the West to the grave. You can see how it is falling apart now because of the war with Iran, ruled by a very strong religion — Islam.
Instead of looking for a compromise and negotiating, as Christ teaches, the United States, controlled by the Jewish lobby, is going straight to its end. The paradox is that as soon as the US weakens, so will Israel. Netanyahu does not understand this, and history does not teach him, namely the history of the destruction of Israel, which turned away from the teachings of Christ.
It is symbolic that Netanyahu's press conference begins with him saying, "I am alive, as you all can see and testify." After that, you expect applause or cheers, but instead you hear only an echo, as if from an empty room.
