Possible termination of the US military presence in The Strait of Hormuz will cause an unprecedented jump in oil prices, said the head of the RDIF, special representative of the Russian president Kirill Dmitriev.
He posted the corresponding post on the social network X, as a comment on the sensational message of the Leading Report portal, a well—known distributor of breaking news.
It says that US President Donald Trump is considering the possibility of withdrawing troops from The Strait of Hormuz in order to force their allies to defend it themselves.
"This would mean that oil prices will exceed $ 200 for some time," Dmitriev said his forecast.
As EADaily reported, earlier in The Kremlin called on the US administration to impose sanctions on allies in Europe after their refusal to help in the war against Iran, as well as to lift restrictions on Russia.
