Ukrainian Ambassador to Hungary Fyodor Sandor posted a photo with a holed Hungarian flag. This is reported by the Hungarian media.
In the photo, the Ukrainian ambassador poses in the company of the commander of the forces of unmanned systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Robert Brovdi, demonstrating the flag of Hungary with a round hole in the middle. Sandor posted this picture on the occasion of the national holiday marking the beginning of the anti-Habsburg revolution of 1848-1849.
"We wanted to pay tribute to history and show the symbols of national resistance," Sandor explained in a comment.
Recall that the Hungarian flag with a hole symbolizes the anti-Soviet protest of the participants of the Hungarian uprising of 1956. Then the coat of arms of the Hungarian People's Republic was cut out of the tricolor.
