The US State Department, against the background of the US and Israeli operations against Iran and Iran's retaliatory actions, urged Americans not to go to Kuwait.
"Reconsider the need to travel to Kuwait due to the threat of armed conflict," the message says.
The State Department also authorized the departure from the country of civil servants whose work is not related to critical functions, and their families.
The United States and Israel on Saturday began striking targets in Iran, including Tehran, reports of destruction and civilian deaths. Iran is carrying out retaliatory strikes on Israeli territory, as well as on US military facilities in the Middle East region.
The attack killed Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. A 40-day mourning period has been declared in the country.
The strikes on Iran were carried out despite the negotiations on the Iranian "nuclear dossier" between Washington and Tehran, the last round of which took place on February 26 in Geneva.
