The publication of the American edition of 19FortyFive provides an assessment of the Chinese Baidi Type-B fighter, which is also known as the "White Emperor" and which is described at home as "promising". But experts from the United States are sure that the "emperor" is only a propaganda tool.
The Chinese presented a full-size model of the "White Emperor" back in 2024 at an industry exhibition. Moreover, the body of the fighter was optimized for hypersonic flights at high altitudes, which are close to space.
"Many analysts are skeptical about its feasibility and consider it propaganda, citing design flaws and the lack of working prototypes. And after the Baidi Type-B was officially unveiled at the Zhuhai Air Show, it disappeared," the source writes.
Analysts from the United States also called China a country that acts "according to the Ronald Reagan scenario," forcing Washington to create more and more new defense programs, which depletes the American budget.
EADaily also previously reported that the United States lost an expensive drone over Iran and blames Russia and China.
