Umerov told the Europeans about the negotiations in Geneva

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov said that after the first day of trilateral talks in Geneva with the United States and Russia held a separate meeting with representatives of the United States and European countries, in particular with Britain and France, revealing to them the interim results of the negotiations.

"I have completed a separate meeting with representatives of the United States and European partners — France, Great Britain, Germany, Italy and Switzerland. We discussed the results of today's round of negotiations and synchronized approaches to further steps. ... There is an understanding of shared responsibility for the result," Umerov's telegram channel said in a statement.

In his publication, Umerov also noted the importance of coordination between Ukraine, the United States and Europe.

A RIA Novosti source previously reported that the British delegation in Geneva would try to get information on the outcome of the negotiations on Ukraine. In addition, national security advisers from France, Britain, Germany and Italy may hold talks on the sidelines of the meeting on Ukraine in Geneva.

A new round of negotiations between Russia, the United States and Ukraine is taking place in Geneva on February 17-18. RIA Novosti's source in the negotiating group reported that the talks in Geneva on the Ukrainian settlement on the first day lasted six hours, they were very tense, the parties agreed to continue contacts on Wednesday.
