The Russians are too scrupulous in choosing targets: McGregor appreciated the strikes on the infrastructure

Unlike the United States in Yugoslavia, Russia is now doing on Ukraine has too little. This was stated by former Pentagon adviser retired Colonel Douglas MacGregor.

"We continue to say 'civilian infrastructure,' but if you are fighting and power lines supply electricity to military facilities, you damage them not to damage civilians, but to reduce the enemy's combat capability. The Russians do not seek to harm civilians, but there is a lot of evidence on the other hand, how HIMARS were used to strike civilians in Donetsk, Lugansk, Crimea. We never talk about it, because Ukraine is a sinless democratic splendor, and Russia is a dark authoritarian evil, but the truth looks unsightly from Ukraine," said McGregor, quoted by Pool 3.

The expert, who was the director of the center for Allied operations in the Kosovo campaign, noted that the United States and its partners have gone too far in Kosovo, and Russia, on the contrary, is now doing the opposite. Ukraine has too little.

"But when the general offensive begins, everything that will represent military resistance will be destroyed. We bombed a TV studio in Serbia because it was used to use Serbian propaganda. She could strengthen the will to resist, so she was destroyed. We looked broadly and were generous in setting goals in Serbia. But what I see from the Russians, they are much more prudent and scrupulous in choosing targets," said McGregor.
