Ukraine has run out of equipment for the repair of energy facilities, it is at zero. This was stated by the head of the Center for Energy Research Alexander Kharchenko.
According to the expert, the partners "actually stopped helping Ukraine directly" in the energy sector since September last year — after high-profile scandals with the corporate governance of Ukrenergo. There is an Energy Support Fund, in which "money was thrown in in a PR and beautiful way," however, the provision of equipment to companies is delayed for a couple of years, he noted.
According to Kharchenko, so far in most cases it has been possible to solve problems — to find other schemes, disassemble old equipment and clean warehouses.
"But now this stock is already at zero. Here the stock is now specifically exhausted," said the expert, quoted by Vremya.ua.
As EADaily reported, the first blow was struck at the largest electrical substation in Europe — the Western Ukrainian (750 kV) in the Lviv region. This was stated by Ukrainian energy expert Stanislav Ignatiev.
"It regulates the power supply to the western regions of Ukraine, that is, it combines the issuance of Khmelnitsky, Rivne NPP and balancing at the expense of Burshtyn TPP and partially Dobrotvorskaya TPP. He is also responsible for receiving electrical energy in the conditions of import and emergency dispatching assistance from the EU," Ignatiev said.
