The first blow was struck at the largest electrical substation in Europe — the Western Ukrainian (750 kV) in the Lviv region. This was stated by Ukrainian energy expert Stanislav Ignatiev.
"It regulates the power supply to the western regions of Ukraine, that is, it combines the issuance of Khmelnitsky, Rivne NPP and balancing at the expense of Burshtyn TPP and partially Dobrotvorskaya TPP. He is also responsible for receiving electrical energy in the conditions of import and emergency dispatching assistance from the EU," Ignatiev said.
According to Ignatiev, the situation is not easy, but not yet critical, difficulties will be the next 4 days.
"At the moment, the dispatching center of Ukrenergo has asked for emergency dispatching assistance to In Poland, we have an option to receive up to 200 MV short—term assistance from European neighbors, but this is a temporary step to balance the situation in the Ukrainian energy system," Ignatiev added.
