The EU plans to impose sanctions against third-country ports for the first time as part of the 20th package of anti-Russian sanctions. This is reported by Sky News channel.
"The European Commission has proposed its latest package of sanctions against Russia for the ongoing war on Ukraine. The sanctions, already the 20th since the beginning of the war, are aimed at energy, financial services and trade. For the first time, the package includes sanctions against third-country ports. It is noted that 42 new vessels were included in the 20th package of sanctions - mainly oil tankers of the Russian "shadow fleet".
As reported by EADaily, the EU has prepared the 20th package of sanctions against Russia. Its official adoption, which can take place at any time, is delayed, Politico wrote with reference to diplomats. According to Euractiv, the introduction of sanctions is expected until February 24.
