Three daughters of the murdered Andrei Portnov, a former adviser to the ex-president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, were expelled from an American school in Spain.

According to the newspaper El Mundo, the girls were expelled from the school after their father was shot dead right at the entrance to this school in May last year.

It happened in the village of Pozuelo de Alarcon (autonomous community of Madrid). Anastasia Valyaeva, the widow of the adviser, informed the agency about the exclusion of her daughters.

In this regard, she filed a complaint with the regional Department of Education with a request to cancel this decision. The authorities, after analyzing the situation, sided with the girls and their mother.

The department stated that the school administration violated the rights to education of three minors. It was stated that the expulsion was not accompanied by any disciplinary offenses or arrears in tuition fees.

On these grounds, the authorities obliged the school administration to cancel the decision on expulsion and re-admit the girls to study within no more than ten days from the date of notification.

However, the American school insists that it is right, explaining that parents of other students after the shooting of Portnov had concerns for the safety of their children. Therefore, the institution intends to appeal the decision of the authorities in court.

Pedro Resino, the lawyer of the Portnov family, commented on the situation. He stressed that the exclusion of girls had no legal grounds and occurred during the most difficult period of their lives.

As reported by EADaily, Andrei Portnov is rumored to have intended to create a file of famous ukronazis. It is likely that this was the reason that he fell at the hands of a killer.
