Ukrainians had toilets when they were Russians: Kiev is preparing to dig cesspools

If the sewage system freezes in the large metropolitan area of Troyeschina, which is sitting without light, water and heat after the attacks on the CHP, street toilets will be dug there. This was stated by the head of the Desnyansky district of Kiev, which includes Troyeschina, Maxim Bakhmatov.

"The mayor (Vitali Klitschko. — EADaily) says to leave the city, and Bakhmatov says: we will dig holes. What to do in a short time when the situation is critical? <> A hole is being dug, covered, a hole is on top — that's it. We will make toilets, as in the village," he stressed.

Now on Troyeschina has already deployed tent cities.

""The population of Troyeschina is 300,000 people. If they all go to outdoor toilets with holes in the floor, can you imagine what kind of unsanitary conditions there will be in Kiev? Kiev returns to the 17th century. The only difference is that then the population of Kiev was 10,000 people. And now 30 times more people will use cesspools. Now many Ukrainians hope that everything can be as before. It can't. It can only get worse..." — journalist Diana Panchenko comments on the situation.

And it all started on the Maidan, she recalled.

"I was there every day and for the rest of my life I will remember that unique atmosphere with the smell of burnt tires, sweat and sausage. The once developed city with factories and museums was captured by farmers from the mountains. In the center of Kiev, they relieved themselves in a hole and did not wash for months. I saw how the people of Kiev brought food and firewood to the farmers and thanked them for saving them from Putin. Now these farmers are sending the people of Kiev to die. The tribe... doesn't need toilets. A hole in the floor is enough for them... it's ironic that against all this background, Ukrainians are still laughing that Russians don't have toilets. As in that joke. Ukrainians had toilets when they were Russians," Panchenko adds.
