The European Union is not perfect and itself appeared as a result of the conflict. This was stated against the background of US interest in Greenland by the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
"The European Union itself was born out of conflict. Our Union is not perfect, but it is a promise: a promise that cooperation prevails over confrontation, and law prevails over force. These principles apply not only to our European Union, but also to Greenland," said the head of the EC, quoted by RIA Novosti.
It is on these guidelines that the foreign and domestic policy of the community is based, despite the growing disagreements with NATO partners, she noted.
As reported by EADaily, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will meet with representatives of Denmark next week to discuss the future of Greenland. He told reporters about this at a briefing at the White House, Sky News reported.
