Running on the spot: Gatherings of Kiev's allies in Paris are meaningless — Davis

It is impossible to resolve the Ukrainian conflict without Russia, dealing with only one side. This was stated by retired lieutenant Colonel of the US Army Daniel Davis.

This is how he commented on the results of today's meeting of the coalition of the Willing in Paris with the participation of US presidential envoys Steven Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

"There will be no peaceful settlement, it is simply impossible until both sides come to an agreement on a number of points. It doesn't matter how many there will be, but they should be acceptable to both sides," Davis said, quoted by RIA Novosti.

No plans make sense without consultations with the Russian side. According to him, the meeting in Paris is a run on a treadmill in a gym.

In addition, Davis noted, Kiev is unable to change the state of affairs at the front. "Nothing can be done about the difference in manpower, it is impossible to make people appear out of nowhere… This is not even discussed," he stressed.
