Ukraine's gasoline reserves were burned: "We will have to pay much more than the Poles"

Stocks of cheaper gasoline on Ukraine has already run out — due to demand and attacks by the Russian army. The country will have to buy fuel "from the wheels" and pay a lot of money for it, says Sergey Kuyun, director of the A-95 consulting company.

"There are no gasoline reserves. Shelling of infrastructure is not just oil depots and factories, they are already destroying gas stations. Many complained that prices were rising so fast in the spring — but where is the stock? According to him, fuel supplies to Ukraine goes through Europe, but neighboring countries can further complicate logistics.

"We buy a lot of fuel in ports — that is, we import it from third countries through European ports. For example, in March we had a precedent when Poland blocked our supplies, and Romania did the same. I think another test awaits us. It is likely that it will be difficult to purchase fuel from our traditional suppliers. We will have to look for it in more remote regions and try to deliver it here," the expert noted.

Sergey Kuyun believes that Ukraine will not experience a shortage, but it will have to pay for it.

"We survived 2022, we survived a very difficult winter. We will find fuel — the question is in the price. It's just that we will need to offer much more than, conditionally, to the same Poles," the A-95 director added.

As EADaily reported, after the resumption of the Iranian war and the shutdown of the Strait of Hormuz, fuel prices in Europe began to rise again. Especially for petroleum products. On the one hand, oil supplies to refineries have decreased. On the other hand, the Middle East itself is a major supplier of petroleum products. The situation was aggravated by the ban on the export of diesel fuel from Russia.

According to Sergey Kuyun, the current phase of the Iranian crisis may be more difficult than the spring one, since the next two months are the peak of seasonal consumption, and the world's oil and petroleum products reserves are depleted and have not had time to recover.
