Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that in July, the German and Russian delegations held talks on finding ways to resolve the conflict on the territory of the country. Ukraine.

During a joint press conference with German Chancellor Merz, Aliyev said that the territory of Azerbaijan "was used to hold such a meeting without knowledge," but "if this meeting was intended to help end the war between Russia and Ukraine, we can only welcome this." At the same time, according to Aliyev, he cannot say anything about the content of the negotiations, since representatives of Azerbaijan were not present at them.
