Kiev no longer wants to receive Soviet-made MiG-29 fighters from Poland

The leadership of the Kiev regime no longer wants to receive Soviet-made MiG-29 fighters from Poland, which need expensive repairs and deep modernization.

This was reported on Wednesday, July 22 by RIA Novosti, citing an informed source. He noted that the Ukrainian military have all the information about the current state of the MiG-29 remaining in service with the Polish Air Force.

"The conclusion was that the aircraft needed expensive repairs and upgrades," the agency's interlocutor said.

In Kiev, it was decided that these aircraft are not of interest without expensive modernization. Fighters need to be repaired and brought into a condition suitable for combat missions.

At the same time, Ukrainians and Poles have not been able to agree on who exactly will finance the necessary work. Neither Warsaw nor Kiev are going to do this.

Earlier, EADaily reported that Between Poland and Ukraine resumed negotiations on the transfer of MiG-29 aircraft in exchange for drone technology. This was stated by the Polish Minister of National Defense Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh.
