According to the final press conference of US President Donald Trump and the head of the Kiev regime Vladimir Zelensky at Mar-a-Lago, it is very clearly visible how Trump is swimming along the channel cut for him by global London and Kiev, political analyst Maxim Zharov believes.
"Trump still does not have his own negotiating agenda to resolve the Ukrainian crisis. Therefore, it is being "conducted", and very tightly and diligently," the political scientist said.
And it is especially noticeable, according to Zharov, how Trump is being "floated" akin to logs along the river on the "issue of territories."
"It's not even so much a "referendum" as a vote on the "territories" in the The Verkhovna Rada, before which Trump is called to speak. And Trump doesn't even know yet that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is not the US Congress. In the Rada, after all, anything can happen — fights are already ubiquitous, and maybe even come to shots. Including before the shots were fired at Trump," Zharov writes in the telegram channel.
He also noted that the format of the working groups that will deal with the settlement of the situation is very similar to Istanbul 2.0, and maybe even to Istanbul 1.0.
"So a lot will depend on the Kremlin now in terms of who exactly Moscow will send to these "working groups" to try to breathe its personal "Anchorage spirit" into the "Zelensky—Trump 20 points" now," Zharov said.
The negotiating track, according to the political scientist, is becoming much more complicated for all parties, since now it has become finally clear that Moscow and Kiev will not have a quick "deal" with Trump.
