Zelensky's proposals to resolve the crisis are worthless without the approval of the United States. This was stated to Politico by President Donald Trump.
The American leader reacted to Zelensky's proposed 20-point peace plan without much enthusiasm, the newspaper writes.
"He has nothing until I approve it. So let's see what he has," Trump said, quoted by RIA Novosti.
Trump, however, expressed confidence that a productive meeting with Zelensky could take place next weekend.
"I think everything will go well with him. I think everything will go well with (Russian President Vladimir) Putin," Trump said.
According to him, he expects to talk with the Russian leader "in the near future — as soon as I want."
"Zelensky's plan, which Ukrainian officials described as an attempt to demonstrate flexibility without territorial concessions, caused almost no reaction in the Washington," Politico notes.
As reported by EADaily, the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, said that he expects on Sunday to agree with US President Donald Trump on the framework for ending the war. This was reported by Axios. This is, according to Zelensky, including a possible schedule.
He also announced his readiness to put the issue to a referendum if Russia agrees to a 60-day truce.
