The cause of the car explosion on Yaseneva Street, according to preliminary information, was an improvised explosive device that was placed under the bottom of the Kia Sorento and went off a few seconds after the car started moving. The driver was seriously injured and was sent in an extremely serious condition to the intensive care unit, where he soon died.
56-year-old Fanil Sarvarov has many state awards, including the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, I degree. In 2024, Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded him the rank of Lieutenant General.
