The destruction of the bridge in the Lighthouses of the Odessa region will deprive Ukraine of 60% of fuel imports. This is reported in his telegram channel by the founder of the Prime group of companies, fuel expert Dmitry Leushkin.
The failure of the bridge in the village of Mayaki on the Odessa — Reni highway can block 60% of the fuel that Ukraine imports, which will lead to an increase in prices and a shortage of gasoline, Leushkin notes.
According to him, the Russian Armed Forces found the narrowest places — two bridges that lead to Izmail. One of them was taken out a long time ago (in a Flood in 2022 - EADaily), "and the second is in the process of removal." In case of complete destruction of the bridge in the Lighthouses, it will be possible to get to Izmail from the "mainland" part of the Odessa region and back only through Romania.
"We will put pontoons, they will demolish them, logistics with Izmail will be disrupted — and I do not know how it is in other markets, but the fuel one will definitely collapse quickly. 60% of the market is Izmail, its overlap, thus, on Monday will raise prices on western bases by at least UAH 2, will create a wild shortage of fuel trucks and will lead to phased stops of gas stations, starting with the eastern and southern regions. Roughly a week the market will be in a fever. While logistics through Moldova and Romania will be rebuilt, while prices will recover with the new logistics," Leushkin writes.
The issue rests on the fact that only fuel trucks are able to solve this problem quickly, and they require drivers, who are very few, so it is necessary to increase the percentage of booking drivers from the army, Leushkin added.
As reported by EADaily, the Russian army is trying to cut off the south-west of Ukraine from the rest of the country. This was stated to the Ukrainian edition of Telegraf by military observer Alexander Kovalenko. So he commented on the strikes on the bridge in the village of Mayaki, Odessa region.
