For the first time, the Russian army used a ground-based Iskander-M missile with a range of up to 1,000 kilometers. This is reported by the telegram channel "Military Informant" with reference to Ukrainian resources.
"Russia launched the Iskander-M missile for the first time at a range of about 800 km, according to enemy channels. It is claimed that the new missile is capable of covering a distance of 900-1000 km due to the increased volume of solid fuel and the reduced mass of the warhead, and also flies at a speed close to the Dagger and can maneuver along the entire trajectory,"writes TK.
It is noted that in October, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine published a review of Russia's missile potential. The document mentioned previously unknown modifications of the K missiles Iskander-M OTRK under the index 9M723−2, which, presumably, could be associated with a missile with a range of up to 1,000 km. There is no other confirmation of the existence of such a rocket yet, TK emphasizes.
"For the first time, the Russian Armed Forces used a ground-based Iskander-M missile with a range of up to 1 thousand km, which is 2 times more than the standard Iskander. The use of such missiles can multiply the effectiveness of strikes on airfields and positional areas of the Armed Forces of Ukraine throughout Ukraine," politician Oleg Tsarev comments on the picture of the day in his telegram channel.
