American actor, screenwriter and producer, two-time Oscar winner Kevin Spacey, who has fought off legal claims, is reviving his career with concerts, starting with a creative evening in Cyprus. This is reported by the telegram channel "Dubai Report".
"He is baiting fierce tales from the Hollywood backstage, singing Sinatra," the publication says, which is accompanied by numerous video recordings of the performance.
After Cyprus, the actor should perform in Israel.
The star's show was called Songs & Stories (songs and stories).
"It's a rare opportunity to see a Hollywood legend in his natural environment — on stage, accompanied by a live jazz orchestra. The program includes eternal jazz standards that defined the era," the description of the performance said, the ticket price for which started at only $ 90.
At the same time, at the PLATINUM VIP rate, guests were offered a 30-minute photo session and a meeting with the artist, two bottles of champagne and a cheese plate.
Also on one of the ticket sales sites it was clarified that due to the large number of people who wanted to change the concert venue to a more spacious one.
As reported by EADaily, for the first time Spacey was accused of sexual harassment by actor Anthony Rapp, who claimed that the star tried to "seduce" him when he was 14 years old. However, in a trial that ended only in 2022, the case fell apart.
Spacey recalled that at that time he had just finished shooting Ridley Scott's film "All the Money in the World" about the richest American businessman Paul Getty. The star was removed from the picture before the film was released, replaced by Chris Plummer.
In the fall of 2017, the star of the movie "American Beauty" was accused of sexual harassment by more than 10 people, including partners in the TV series "House of Cards", the last season of which, due to the scandal, was released without the participation of the actor.
In mid-May of last year, unknown evidence of Spacey's alleged sexually inappropriate behavior was included in a two-part documentary that was shown by one of the British television channels.
In an interview with British journalist and TV presenter Piers Morgan in June 2024, Spacey, talking about these situations and the house in which he now lives, burst into tears. The actor spoke about the auction sale of a house in Baltimore without the possibility of redemption due to multimillion-dollar "legal debts."
Answering the question about bankruptcy, Spacey noted that he had already thought about filing a corresponding application several times, but today it is possible to evade this issue. At the same time, the actor still has "many millions" of debt on legal bills.
Since the first accusations that appeared in the public field in 2017, Spacey has not acted in major Hollywood projects, but has participated only in a few independent films.
Receiving an award for achievements in cinema during the Cannes Film Festival in May this year, Spacey made an emotional speech, hinting that he was asking to return to the cinema after being blacklisted by Hollywood.
At the moment Spacey has been acquitted in key criminal cases of sexual harassment in the United States and In the UK, some plaintiffs have withdrawn their claims themselves. However, there are ongoing cases against him, the investigation of which has not yet been completed.
