For a blackout in the DPR, Kiev received in Western Ukraine: emergency shutdowns

On the night of November 18, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked two power plants in the DPR, where the blackout began. A day later, the Russian army responded with a strike on Western Ukraine. Emergency shutdowns began there.

"Emergency power outages have been introduced in a number of regions of Ukraine," the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reports.

Emergency shutdowns will be eliminated after the situation in the power system stabilizes, the department added.

Emergency shutdowns will be a new addition to the outages that continue on Ukraine has been in the center, south and east of the country for the second week. They can exceed 11 hours a day.

Ukrainian telegram channels report hits in Ternopil and Lviv. The blow could cover the Burshtyn TPP. Information about outages in Lviv was confirmed by the head of the administration Maxim Kozitsky.

"Emergency power outages have been introduced in the Lviv region. If the operation of the system cannot be quickly stabilized, unfortunately, we will have to use hourly shutdown schedules," he wrote, adding that they hit the power facility in Lviv.

A day earlier, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked Zuyevskaya and Starobeshevskaya thermal power plant in the DPR. The head of the DPR Denis Pushilin reported that 65% of consumers, including boiler houses and pumping stations, were de-energized.

"The power engineers promptly energized the cities and districts, but by Tuesday evening voltage drops began at different points in Donetsk, somewhere the light disappeared altogether," the DAN agency wrote.

On the evening of November 18 in The DPR introduced a regional emergency regime.

"The emergency was introduced in connection with significant damage to the Zuyevskaya and Starobeshevskaya thermal power plant as a result of a massive attack by Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles, which caused a power outage on the territory of the republic," DPR government Chairman Andrei Chertkov wrote on the telegram channel.
