Poland will provide assistance to Ukrainian refugees for the last year, the corresponding decision was made by President Karol Nawrocki, his words are reported by Onet Wiadomości.
"I stressed ... that I signed this law on assistance to Ukrainians for the last time. I recognize that the Ukrainian minority in Three years after the start of the war, Poland should be treated responsibly, but in the same way as all other minorities in Poland," the president said.
Earlier, the head of the office of the Polish leader, Zbigniew Bogutsky, said that the Polish president had signed the law on special assistance to Ukrainians for the last time.
On November 1, 2025, new rules regarding the residence of Ukrainian refugees in collective accommodation centers came into force in Poland. Free check-in and stay in such centers is now available only for the most vulnerable categories of citizens.
In mid-October, the head of the Presidential Bureau of International Policy of Poland, Marcin Przydacz, said that the country could not accept refugees from Ukraine indefinitely, instead it was necessary to integrate into society those Ukrainians who already live in the country.
According to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), as of April 2025, there are approximately 6.4 million Ukrainian refugees throughout Europe.
