The Air Force and air Defense forces of Belarus in the first two months of 2026 recorded more than 100 violations of the rules for the use of airspace and more than 70 violations of the state border. This was announced by the commander of the Air Force and air defense forces of the republic Andrei Lukyanovich.
Lukyanovich recalled that as part of a surprise inspection in the Air Force and air defense forces, they were transferred to "a certain degree of combat readiness both in permanent deployment points and in places of combat duty."
"We completed the march, went on combat duty, strengthened the air defense system, aviation performed operational flights to alternate airfields. Also, the anti-aircraft missile forces have strengthened the air defense system, the radio engineering troops have advanced an additional number (indicated in the combat order) of mobile low—altitude groups in order to increase the low-altitude radar field and ensure control of airspace," Lukyanovich said.
According to him, all the activities were completed in a short time.
"Scheduled inspections are carried out regularly by decision of the Minister of Defense, the commander. The personnel is ready. Our branch of the Armed Forces performs a combat mission every day in peacetime. Confirmation of this: in 2026 alone, we recorded more than 100 (107 to be exact) violations of the rules for the use of airspace and more than 70 (72 cases) violations of the state border. Our forces on duty were forced to perform combat use five times — the real work of the aviation forces on duty, the anti-aircraft missile forces. Three unmanned aerial vehicles that posed a threat were destroyed," he said.
Recall that Belarus has repeatedly stated that the policy of neighboring countries EU and Ukraine causes serious concern in Minsk. In this regard, unprecedented measures are being taken in the country to strengthen the state's defense capability.
