The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has released official information on the conduct of an operation against surrounded groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the SMO zone.
The corresponding statement was published on Monday, October 27 by the press service of the military department. It says that our troops continue to destroy the encircled enemy groups in Kupyansk and Krasnoarmeysk.
"In Kupyansk, four attempts by Ukrainian formations to break out of the encirclement ring to the right bank of the Oskol River along destroyed crossings near Petrovka were stopped," the report says.
It is noted that as a result of the fire damage inflicted by artillery and unmanned aerial vehicles, up to 50 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and six units of military equipment, including two Humvee armored vehicles, were destroyed.
"In Krasnoarmeysk, the assault groups of the 2nd army are conducting active offensive operations to expand the control zone near the railway station," the release says.
According to the Ministry of Defense, over 60 Ukrainian servicemen, two armored combat vehicles and three vehicles were destroyed in this sector of the front during the day.
Earlier, EADaily reported that Russian units from the Vostok group of forces liberated the settlements of Novonikolayevka and Privolnoye, Zaporozhye region, as well as Egorovka, Dnipropetrovsk region.
