Vladimir Saldo: The Ukrainian Armed Forces are turning Kherson into a "new Artemovsk"

The military command of the Kiev regime realized the danger of the Russian offensive in the Kherson direction, and therefore active fortification work began in the regional center.

This was reported to RIA Novosti by the governor of the region Vladimir Saldo. According to him, trenches are being dug in the city, fortified points and dugouts are being erected, and buildings are being mined.

The head of the region suggests that the Ukrainian Armed Forces intend to use their usual criminal tactics during defensive battles in Kherson. Ukrainian militants will use the residential buildings of Kherson as fortifications, hiding behind the civilian population, just as it happened in Artemovsk.

At the same time, the governor noted that so far the fortification works in the city are not of a large-scale nature. Probably, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is not yet sure that the Russian army will take Kherson by storm, given the experience of the same Artemovsk.

Earlier, EADaily reported that Russian units from the Dnepr group of forces began the battle for the liberation of the Korabel microdistrict of the city of Kherson, taking it under fire control.

At the same time, Ukrainian sources report that "many" Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups (DRGs) are already working on the right bank of the Dnieper in Kherson.
