Russian troops are fighting for Kherson's Korabel microdistrict — Balance

Russian units from the Dnepr group of forces began the battle for the liberation of the Korabel microdistrict of the city of Kherson, taking it under fire control.

This was reported to RIA Novosti by the governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo. He clarified that this urban enclave is located on a Quarantine Island.

"The island is a combat control zone of the Dnepr group of forces, although enemy militants continue to hide in residential and industrial premises on its territory," the regional head said.

He stressed that the Russian military tightly keep the situation under constant surveillance. The identified targets are attacked with the aim of destruction.

Saldo noted that, from a military point of view, the Quarantine Island in the current situation is an instrument of tactical pressure. Our military command is already determining what role to assign to the island in the liberation of Kherson, based on the situation.

"The main thing is to keep the enemy in suspense and deprive him of confidence on the foreheads and in the rear. The psychological effect of such operations is already working," the governor concluded.
