The Russian army has gained a foothold on the Quarantine Island on the right bank of the Dnieper River in the Korabel microdistrict in Kherson. This was stated by the commander of the reconnaissance platoon participating in the operation.

Now the bridgehead is secured," the military told the TASS news agency.
