The Nobel Committee will conduct an audit due to suspicions of leaking information about the Peace Prize laureate amid a sharply increased number of bets on the American betting platform. This was reported on October 10 by the Norwegian newspaper Finansavien.
"One of the options is the leakage of information from private individuals, but it is more likely that this is some form of digital leakage. We have no explanation, but we will do our best to find out if there was a leak or if the reason lies in something in our system," said Christian Berg Harpviken, director of the Norwegian Nobel Institute.
According to the publication, the rating of the leader of the Venezuelan opposition, Maria Corina Machado, was minimal, but her ratings increased from 3.6% to more than 70% in a couple of hours. It is reported about three users who made large bets on Machado's victory and won a total of $ 90 thousand, Izvestia clarifies.
