US President Donald Trump considers Russian Leader Vladimir Putin's proposal to stick to the START Treaty for another year to be a "good idea." He said this today, October 5, during a conversation with reporters on the South Lawn of the White House.
"It sounds like a good idea to me," Trump said.
As EADaily reported, on September 22, Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with the Russian Security Council, said that Moscow, after the START Treaty expires in February, is ready to adhere to the restrictions on the document for another year. However, only on condition that Washington will act in a similar way. The White House thought for two weeks before responding to the proposal.
Today, the Russian president once again warned that the delivery of Tomahawk missiles to Kiev would destroy the emerging positive trends in relations with the United States.
