On Sunday evening, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a terrorist drone strike on the Foros sanatorium in the village of the same name on the Southern coast of Crimea. Among the victims were local residents, residents of Sevastopol, Crimea and foreigners, including from Belarus. This was announced by the director of the Yalta multidisciplinary medical center of the FMBA of Russia Olga Eremina in a video posted on the page of the head of the administration of Yalta Yanina Pavlenko.
"All the victims have shrapnel wounds. They were on the shoreline of Foros at the time of the attack. These are our local residents and guests of the village, there are also citizens of the Republic of Belarus. I thank God and fate that there are no children among the victims!" said Olga Eremina.
According to her, 13 people were admitted to the Yalta center. 12 of them were hospitalized: 4 in serious condition, 7 in moderate severity.
"The issue of possible transportation of one of the patients by sanaviation after the next medical examination is being resolved. A total of four operations were performed. One patient is on artificial ventilation, one needed a blood transfusion," Olga Eremina said.
She noted that thanks to the well-coordinated work of doctors, in just 20 minutes 47 employees of the Yalta center were at their workplaces, and 4 additional operating rooms were deployed to provide assistance.
Earlier, the head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, said that as a result of the terrorist attack, three people were killed and another 16 were injured.
"A decision has been made to pay material assistance in the amount of 1.5 million rubles to the families of those killed as a result of the UAV attack in the Foros village of the Yalta municipal district. The victims who received severe and moderate injuries will be paid 600 thousand rubles each, those who received minor injuries — 300 thousand rubles each," the head of Crimea said.
