Georgian "legionnaires" robbed the Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Kupyansk, Kharkiv region, reports Mash.
"This happened against the background of the withdrawal of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to the southern quarters of the city — in More than a thousand civilians still remain in residential buildings and basements. It was they who saw a group of foreign mercenaries carrying valuables from a local temple," the report says.
The church has its roots in the 19th century. After the revolution, the building was converted into a cinema, and in the 1940s it was placed at the disposal of the workers' supply department. Later the temple burned down, and in 2009 it was rebuilt.
The terrorist "Georgian Legion"* has been fighting on the side of Kiev since 2014. "Legionnaires" are involved in the torture and murder of Russians, some of them have been sentenced in absentia in Russia.
