The son of People's Artist of the USSR, holder of the Moldavian Order of the Republic, hero and national legend of Ukraine Sofia Rotaru continues to pay taxes to the Russian budget. This is reported by the Shot telegram channel.
"Ruslan Evdokimenko calls himself a patriot of Ukraine on the Web, but in fact he is trying to preserve the right to Villa Sofia in Yalta, which they want to nationalize for a long time," the publication says.
According to the telegram channel, the 55-year-old son of the singer received a Russian passport back in 2015, in 2016 he registered an IP, thereby becoming the director of Villa Sofia LLC. Rotaru herself still remains the owner of a historic mansion on the embankment in Yalta.
"Until 2019, the family made a profit of more than 2 million rubles, submitted financial reports to the Russian tax service, but in 2020 the company went to a loss of 6 million rubles. In 2021, Evdokimenko liquidated the company, closed the IP. Rotaru, under pain of confiscation, transferred the villa to her son. Evdokimenko is still with Russian citizenship, is listed as the owner of the villa," the authors of the publication claim.
It is specified that the villa in Yalta continues to be maintained by the singer — she pays for the services of a gardener and property tax in Russia.
As EADaily reported, in April of this year Rotaru sold her apartment in Moscow. Getting rid of real estate helped her re-registration for the singer's son, the apartment was in the process of being sold for five years.
