In the first picture, Putin and Trump are looking at the sky.
The second one captures what they are looking at. This is a grouping of a B-2 strategic bomber and US Air Force fighters that flew over the heads of state at that moment.

Recall that the participants of the summit of the "coalition of the willing" phoned Trump after the event. The German newspaper Bild, citing sources, reported that the conversation was "hot and unpleasant."
