US President Donald Trump does not believe that new sanctions against Russia, if any, will have a bad effect on world oil markets. He said this today to journalists on board his plane.
So he answered the relevant question.
"I'm not worried about that. We have so much oil in our country. We'll just increase the production even more. Now oil is already quite cheap. We will increase the volume even more," said Trump, quoted by the Donald Trump in Russian telegram channel.
Trump needlessly dismisses the realities of the market, the consequences will not be long in coming, Senator Alexei Pushkov believes.
"Oil shot up only because of Trump's promises to impose secondary sanctions. If he introduces them in practice, it will rise in price even more. Trump shrugs it off — and in vain. There will be consequences," the senator comments on the picture of the day in his telegram channel.
