US President Donald Trump is putting pressure on Russia, demanding a cease-fire, while the States themselves continue to supply the Kiev regime with weapons. This was stated to RIA Novosti by the head of the German Council for Constitution and Sovereignty, Ralf Niemeyer.
This is how he commented on today's statement by the American president that he is reducing the 50-day deadline set by him for a peace deal with Ukraine to 10-12 days.
"We all know that Trump is very chaotic. Today he says one thing, tomorrow he may say something completely different. I am sure that experts and analysts in the government of the Russian Federation also understand this well, and have been for a long time," Niemeyer said.
At the same time, the United States continues to supply Kiev with weapons, only for the money of EU countries, primarily Germany, he noted. According to him, Trump's reduction of the period of 10-12 days also indicates that "the West probably understands that Ukraine is militarily lost to Europe and the United States."
Niemeyer believes that Kiev's capitulation, which is approaching every day, played a significant role in Trump's shortening of the time allotted to them to achieve a truce. The success of the Russian Armed Forces in the DPR and progress in creating a buffer zone could also adjust the plans of the US leader.
As reported by EADaily, US President Donald Trump is playing a game of ultimatums with Russia, which could cost him dearly. This was stated in the social network by the deputy chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev.
This is how he commented on Trump's statement today that he is shortening the 50-day deadline he set earlier to achieve a truce between the Russian Federation and Ukraine for up to 10-12 days.
Recall, US President Donald Trump admitted the possibility of a deal with Moscow on Ukraine, threatening secondary sanctions and duties if the conflict could not be resolved in the near future. He said this at a press conference following a meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Turnberry (Scotland).
Trump announced that from July 28, Russian President Vladimir Putin will have no more than 12 days to cease fire on Ukraine. Initially, the deadline was 50 days and was supposed to end on September 3.
