US President Donald Trump is playing a game of ultimatums with Russia, which could cost him dearly. This was stated in the social network by the deputy chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev.
This is how he commented on Trump's statement today that he is shortening the 50-day deadline set by him earlier to achieve a truce between the Russian Federation and Ukraine for up to 10-12 days.
"Trump is playing a game of ultimatums with Russia: 50 days or 10... he should remember two things: 1. Russia is not Israel or even Iran. 2. Each new ultimatum is a threat and a step towards war. Not between Russia and Ukraine, but with his own country. Do not follow the path of Sleepy Joe!" — writes Medvedev, quoted by RIA Novosti.
As EADaily reported, US President Donald Trump admitted the possibility of a deal with Moscow on Ukraine, threatening secondary sanctions and duties if the conflict could not be resolved in the near future. He said this at a press conference following a meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Turnberry (Scotland).
Trump announced that from July 28, Russian President Vladimir Putin will have no more than 12 days to cease fire on Ukraine. Initially, the deadline was 50 days and was supposed to end on September 3.
