The European Commission and Kiev have the same vision regarding the draft law on the independence of Ukraine's anti-corruption authorities. This was stated in his telegram channel by the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, after a conversation with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.

"Many issues were discussed: Ukraine's European integration, further strengthening of sanctions against Russia and the work of our anti-corruption infrastructure. It was about the draft law that guarantees the independence and effectiveness of the anti-corruption authorities of Ukraine. He thanked the European Commission for the expertise provided. We have one vision: it is important that the bill be adopted immediately, next week," Zelensky writes.

Ukraine also continues to carry out the necessary reforms to receive financial assistance under the Ukraine Facility mechanism, he noted. According to Zelensky, today he signed the laws on ARMA reform and factoring, and "Ursula noted progress in the implementation of relevant indicators."

"We discussed what efforts should be made to open the first negotiation cluster on our EU membership. We will work on this as soon as possible," Zelensky summed up.

As reported by EADaily, the European Commission expressed concern about changes to the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which may weaken the powers of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP). This was stated in a comment to the publication "Public" by EC Speaker Guillaume Mercier.

NABU and SAP are key to the fight against corruption and public confidence, he stressed.

According to Mercier, the president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, has already discussed this issue with the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, and appealed to the government to clarify the changes adopted.
